Staff Augmentation (Trust Cash Administration)

Location: McLean, VA

Trust Cash Administration is a baseline function that actively monitors all incoming and outgoing cash in the Corporation’s Custodial Trust account and determines whether funds are due to/from the security holders or Freddie Mac.  In addition, reporting is maintained for all Principal & Interest due to security holders at the pool-level by each security type (i.e. 45-day PCs) and facilitates cash distributions from the Trust account. 

Trust Cash also is responsible to ensure that the Trust account is adequately funded daily. 
This position allows for interaction across the company with the opportunity to learn how other divisions impact the flow of cash. 
Trust Cash Monitoring 

Monitoring cash flows at the product-level 
Ensuring cash activity reconciles to the Fed Reserve & General Ledger 
Maintains proper documentation for all transactions 

Prepare monthly attributions 

Attributions performed monthly at the product-level 
Analyzes inflows and outflows of funds, along with maintaining records of ending balances for each product 
¿Keep records of pool-level data for cash due to investors 

•    2-5 years of related experience in finance, cash management, accounting or related mortgage and mortgage-backed security professional work
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
•    Proficiency in MS Office products – including advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
•    Ability to take initiative, problem-solve and work collaboratively across the organization
