Risk & Controls Professional

Position Overview:
Freddie Mac's Information Technology Division exists to enable and transform Freddie Mac’s business. We provide systems and technology that benefit the enterprise, customers, employees, and our business partners. The IT Division seeks a Risk & Controls Professional to support IT Risk Management Framework implementation, as well as manage IT compliance with regulatory compliance and Federal Housing Finance Authority (FHFA) Advisory Bulletins. The candidate will be part of a team that has an extensive coordination role across Freddie Mac’s three lines of defense.  This position requires an understanding of IT risk management frameworks, standards, and best practices; sound judgement; effective communication and customer relationship management skills; and well-developed organizational skills. 
Operational Risk Management Framework
o Support IT division’s top risk and control priorities
o Support implementation of new requirements related to Three Lines of Defense initiatives

1st LOD Operational Risk Management Activities
o Support implementation, ongoing enhancements to IT Risk Management Framework
o Support IT Risk Management Framework communication and training to stakeholders within IT, and across the three lines of defense
o Support monitoring efforts for stakeholder compliance with IT Risk Management Framework, as well as related analysis and reporting to IT leadership
o Support evaluation of IT governance processes, identify improvement and maturity opportunities as part of IT Risk Management Framework implementation efforts
o Support IT efforts to evaluate compliance with relevant industry best practices, standards, frameworks, legislation and regulatory requirements

o 2-4 years of risk, control, compliance, or operational risk experience in the financial services industry
o Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, Management or equivalent work experience

Preferred Skills
o CISA, CPA, CIA, PMP, CISSP or other relevant professional certification

o Knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements
o Knowledge of Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
o Project Management
