Senior Python Developer

Job Description:

Location: Will need to eventually be onsite in McLean - some opportunity for a few days remote

Rate: Some opportunity for conversion after a year - FTE

Salary between 160K - 180K

Technical Must Haves: Python, Rest-based Web Services, Docker/Kubernetes (or similar)

Soft Skill Must Haves: Looking for someone with enthusiasm and drive. With some guidance, they should quickly feel as though they own the project

Senior Python Developer

Responsibilities:

- Engineer capable of designing solutions, writing code, testing code, automating test and deployment

- Overall delivery of software components working in collaboration with product and design teams

- Collaborating with other technology teams to ensure integrated end-to-end design and integration.

- Enforcing existing process guidelines; drives new processes, guidelines, team rules, and best practices.

- Ready, willing, and able to pick up new technologies and pitch in on story tasks (design, code, test, CI/CD, deploy, etc)

- Able to research and learn new methodologies and technologies and bring knowledge to the team

Technical Skills:

- Work experience as Python developer providing webservices

- Front End Skills: Web based application skills (Angular 4,JavaScript, TypeScript )

- Back End Skills: Python, Django/Flask, numpy, Pandas and Relational Database

- Automation Testing: Automated Performance and Regression/Functional Testing

- Build Tools: maven, gradle, Jenkins, git, npm

- DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, experience with OCP is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor/Masters Degree

- 5-7 years of experience developing & sustaining enterprise software/services.
