Location: McLean, VA
This role is focused on furthering brand through product and solution naming that complements our mission to provide liquidity, stability, affordability and equality to the housing industry and creates a strong position for market growth and recognition across various media channels.
The brand strategist will be responsible for interacting with marketing strategists, business partners, and our legal team to create strong product and solution names for various initiatives spanning across the Single-Family business and ensuring that the products, services and product lines that fall under their domain resonate with current and potential clients and the industry at large. This position would continuously monitor marketing trends and keep a close eye on competitive products in the marketplace – conducting research on competitors and examining current marketing and branding trends within the industry. They will also be responsible for conducting appropriate trademark searches, web domain searches and liaising with our legal team to make final recommendations.
The brand strategist will be responsible for creating strategy documents and corresponding taglines and copy for each name they create and presenting to our business partners. They will also work with legal on trademarking applications.
The brand strategist directs, oversees, and signs off on creative elements to ensure that materials adhere to guidelines and are in line with the current brand strategy.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, 5-7 years experience. Strong research skills and the ability to work well in cross-functional environments is preferred.
