Our Impact:
• We build the Finance Business Glossary which is the authoritative source of business metadata for all Finance data, to build and foster common language across finance
• We create the Business Information Model (BIM) which is a business conceptual model of Finance data, to establish a common view of the corresponding entities, their attributes and their relationships which are shared and used across Finance
• We drive the data strategy and road map in collaboration with our IT partners for migrating our data capabilities to be Cloud-native
• We represent the Finance business in creation of a world class data platform in the cloud and lead the transition and / or modernization of existing data assets
Your Impact:
• Work with the Data Owners to understand and implement data management and protection requirements and make data available as needed to the Data Consumers
• Assist the Data Consumers and the Data Owners in identifying, classifying and documenting data assets and data elements
• Support the Data Owner with the validation of data entered in information systems, as needed
• Identify, publish, monitor, and authorize trusted data sources with support from the Data Owner
• Execute data management operational and data quality controls throughout the data lifecycle
• Provide input to data management metric reporting, monitor for issues tied to Information Risk, and work with other roles to remediate issues as appropriate
• Collect, document and maintain technical, business and compliance metadata
• Support the Data Owners in collecting, documenting and maintaining data lineage
• Identify, archive, and dispose of data in accordance with the retention schedule and other divisional requirements
• Typically has 10+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline: or equivalent work experience
• Experience leading data modernization efforts using cloud native technologies
• Proficient and proven experience in cloud concepts including data virtualization, data lake, data ingestion, and other data architecture components
• Experience with metadata management function and business information modeling techniques (e.g., conceptual and logical data modeling in relational and non-relational structures)
• Experience in data management best practices within a business operational environment
