8455 - Claims Specialist III - Plano, TX
Location: Plano, TX
Applies knowledge of business functions in pre/post foreclosure areas such as claims and invoice processing, payment approvals and research, servicer and non-servicer/ vendor activity, primary and secondary insurance, government claims, recourse and variety of other collection activities and processes in order to support day to day activities.
Performs reverse mortgage HUD claim reconciliations, data entry, quality assurance checks, and may work on special projects when needed.
Partner with internal and external parties via in-person meetings, phone calls, and e-mails to resolve questions or escalated matters.
Receive collection issues from assigned business units, input into appropriate systems and monitor and track through to full resolution Update systems regularly to insure most recent collection activity is tracked.
Participate in process improvement activities for the business unit/ vendor by suggesting ways to realize process efficiencies based upon feedback and observations.
Assists with analyzing financial documents, investigating questionable data and preparing various reports. Checks and verifies transactions to ensure consistency and accuracy of accounting documents. Looking for individuals who really understand “debits/credits, receivables/payables.”
Must be proficient in EXCEL.
Minimum Experience: 3 - 5 years
Education: Prefer Bachelor Degree

Account Reconciliation experience
MS Word and MS Excel (intermediate experience), Pivot tables (huge plus)
