8471 - Business Process Associate 

Location: McLean, VA

The Business Process Associate will be part of the Business Process Redesign (BPR) team within the Single-Family Division. The Process Associate will be part of a smart, dynamic and fast-paced team and will lead efforts that result in increased efficiency of business processes through activities including: requirements gathering, process designs and corresponding data movement designs. Success in this role means delivering ideas and recommendations as well as influencing stakeholders for design of core business processes to achieve dramatic improvements in productivity, cycle times and quality. 

As a Process Associate, You Will
•    Be responsible for distillation of customer ideas 
•    Develop current/future state business processes to support and link to business strategy
•    Prepare for business readiness of the process and technology change management efforts
•    Work with Business Subject Matter Experts, Developers and Operations throughout the project cycle to document the business process models
•    Recommend solutions, process modeling standards and best practices on all aspects of the project life cycle
•    Work under normal supervision. Follow established directions. Work is evaluated upon completion for adequacy in satisfying objectives
The Ideal Candidate Will
•    Have atleast 1-3 years related experience 
•    Have a Bachelor’s degree or higher degree
•    Be an analytical thinker with ability to amass/analyze/draw conclusions from large volumes of seemingly disparate data and rethink existing processes to deliver more value to the Customer
•    Work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency
•    Have time management skills and ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment
•    Have strong Interpersonal skills with a track record of providing excellent customer service
•    Have excellent writing and facilitation skills
•    Have ability to adapt to different styles and collaborate with business area leadership as a strategic partner to achieve goals
•    Be flexible with changing priorities in support of executive team needs
•    Be an independent thinker and take initiatives with general guidance and direction
Preferred Skills
•    Financial Services and/or Mortgage Industry experience is preferred
•    BPM/Six Sigma Certification is a plus
•    Design thinking
•    Low-code process automation experience
