Content Manager, JuniorĀ 

Location: McLean, VA

The Public Relations department is looking for a social media & editorial associate to support its digital content strategy across corporate communications channels. Responsibilities for this energetic, self-starter include supporting the department’s daily activities to develop, schedule, publish and measure social media campaigns, and write content for corporate communications channels. The candidate must have a good working knowledge of corporate social media strategies and excellent written and oral communications skills. This individual must be able to work independently and wear multiple hats to support a variety of projects.

Responsibilities include:
• Supporting the execution of digital content strategies for multiple clients across our social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Glassdoor) 
• Maintaining a comprehensive social media schedule and supporting content development using social media publishing platform 
• Working with our in-house design studio to develop visually compelling graphics, photography and videos for social media
• Assisting with social media reporting and presenting recommendations based on data insights
• Writing short-form content such as social posts and blogs for external channels
• Assisting with other weekly reporting activities and special projects as assigned 

Basic Requirements
• 1-2 years of experience with social media and/or digital communications 
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Familiarity with emerging social media trends and best practices
• Experience with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube in a corporate environment
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, take direction and work collaboratively
• Ability to work independently and on a variety of projects at the same time
• Experience with social media analytics
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field

Preferred Skills
• Experience with corporate social media and social media publishing, monitoring, and analytics platforms (e.g. Percolate, TweetDeck, Track Maven, and Sysmos) 
• Basic knowledge of graphic design principles 
• Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research
