Project Manager Senior

Location: McLean, VA

This position is in the Single-Family SPARK Program under Strategic Delivery.  The SPARK Program provides strategic support to the enhancements of Operations for Salesforce, Contact Center Technologies, and Operations Business Management. This position will work with the Program Director and Program Manager on strategic delivery line items prioritized by the program. This role will require a dynamic, organized professional with strong quantitative, analytic, project management and written communications skills. The position will require interfacing with vendors, IT, business partners, and stakeholders.  The incumbent will need to operate with a high-level of autonomy as the work is challenging, complex and strategic, and requires an experienced professional who can assist in driving execution and lead projects that are multi-faceted in nature.


Responsibilities include:

• Developing project plans and keeping up with tasks in program Integrated Master Schedule

• Establishing and assuring adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements

• Leading key contributors to complete tasks and assisting with the removal of any barriers to prevent the project from getting off track

• Capturing meeting minutes and action items, managing action item closure

• Reporting status of project work streams

• Managing risk and mitigation of work stream specific issues

• Assisting the Program Manager and Program Director with any other project responsibilities



• College Degree or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of experience in project management

• Years of experience in IT Service Management

• Proficiency with SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and the Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Visio)

• Strong attention to detail and robust analytical skills

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders

• Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities

• Ability to multi-task and handle on a proactive basis, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment in order to maximize time-management and efficiencies

• Demonstrated business acumen, problem solving skills, intellectual maturity, and relationship management skills

• Ability to work independently and take direction from the Program/Project Manager Sr. Tech Lead


Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ServiceNow

• Experience managing an operations or support team

• Experience with CMDB and DCIM

• Experience working in ITIL framework with demonstrated focus in Incident, Problem, and Knowledge Management

• Ability to balance risk with business priorities and applies the appropriate sense of urgency to issues
