Strategy and Insight Analyst

Location: Washington, DC

The Strategy and Insights team partners across the organization to apply comprehensive knowledge of strategy principles, to synthesize customer research, robust data analytics, business modeling, and competitive / market intelligence, and implement long term business strategy. This contractor role is to support the research strategy function within Strategy & Insights, which scopes and designs learning agendas and research plans for internal teams and supports execution. The contractor will be expected to meet with internal customers to scope research needs and consult on research strategy and execution options. Provide value-added expertise in market research concepts, techniques, and standards. Utilize wide-ranging experience to support research execution, develop actionable insights and socialize successes to internal stakeholders.

• Provide consultative support for incoming research requests, including scoping and best practices
• Strategy and research design; consult on, and sometimes draft, learning agendas, and research plans
• Support execution for medium and high priority research efforts (e.g., questionnaire and interview guide development, sample design, research project management, conduct in-depth interviews with customers)
• Support survey design and execution through Confirmit*
• Manage key internal and external relationships as required
• Collaborate with internal research partners to improve enterprise research function


• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
• 4+ years of related experience
• Substantial experience leading the design and execution of market research projects (strategy and design, instrument development, programming and fielding, analysis and presentation of insights)
• Experience with the design and execution of both qualitative and quantitative methodologies
• B2B and B2C market research experience a plus
• Experience consulting on market research (either internal corporate research or research provider)
• Able to work autonomously with direction as needed
• Able to communicate effectively and influence across levels and functions through verbal and written formats
• Ability to communicate the value of research and provide thought leadership in the field of market research
• Ability to manage a large volume of work and high level of attention to detail
• Ability to project manage their own work to meet deadlines
