Data Analyst Senior

Location: McLean, VA

Seeking a Business Analysis Senior to support the Finance Change Management team with developing requirements, performing complex data analysis, and user acceptance testing for finance and accounting applications. Candidate will require to coordinate with project teams across divisions and help resolve application and data issues during financial close. College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred. Typically has 6-10 years related experience and 1+ years project management experience. Candidate will likely perform all or some of below mentioned responsibilities.
•Perform complex financial data analysis to research issues, document data derivation and data movement requirements.
•Develop key project artifacts such as project scope, business requirements, risk and controls assessment, issues and risks, user acceptance testing, documentation, and SOX testing.
•Support the team in multiple projects ensuring adherence to Methodology, Controls and Quality Standards.
•Manage production application support duties which involve on-call support for troubleshooting critical data and system issues of supported applications, logging issues, working with IT to determine root cause.
•Support business operational risk controls, Internal/External audit activities.

•Demonstrated business analysis experience with the project lifecycle using waterfall and agile project methodology
•Strong verbal and written skills, including the ability to capture meeting minutes effectively, and assist in developing presentations/materials.
•Experience with requirements gathering and creating business requirements
•Experience in user acceptance testing and documenting test results
•Accounting, Finance or Information System background with mortgage market experience desired
•Proficiency with advanced SQL, Access, Python and SAS.
•Expertise in querying, analyzing, reconciling and testing complex relational data
•Experience with planning and executing data conversion, data mapping and data reconciliation activities
•Strong data and financial analytical skills; Ability to quickly understand complex financial concepts
•Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting or related field
