Communications Specialist II
Location: Reston, VA
Duration: 4 Months with possibility of an extension
The client is seeking a Communications Specialist II/Writer to be responsible for writing, proofreading and copy editing website content and ensuring search engine optimization best practices are followed.
In this role, you will be responsible for authoring content and modifying digital copy.
This individual must use be skilled in writing clear, concise, and grammatically correct (we use AP style) web copy using SEO best practices to generate traffic to our site. You will be writing, reviewing, and editing various content types, including web page copy, FAQs, fact sheets, job aids, and more.
Experience in journalism or website and marketing copy.
Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, English, marketing or related field.
5-7 years’ experience required in content writing for a B2B audience,
Mortgage industry experience preferred.
The ability to consistently meet tight deadlines, work under pressure, and manage high volume workloads effectively
Able to self-edit
Highly creative and imaginative – and curious about clients' products or services – in order to communicate and collaborate effectively
Highly self-motivated and well organized
Comfortable working in sprints/agile-like environment
