IT Support Specialist III Specialized

Location: Reston, VA

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain AWS Cloud and on-perm applications
  • 24X7 on call support on rotation basis
  • Address production incidents, if needed communicate with ECC and send communication to all respective teams; and work to resolve the issues. May also work on some lower environment for these applications
  • Update and create knowledge articles and train L1 and shadow them
  • Work on problem management by creating problem tickets and its resolution
  • Participate with development teams in their sprint planning, work with them on release planning in various environments
  • Analyze and plan for automation of shakeouts and execution
  • Work on RCA and ensure a permanent resolution
  • Work with business teams to understand their need and support necessary activities
  • Work in SRE model with all necessary teams


  • Bachelor's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required
  • 7-10 years’ experience required in Development or L2 or L3 support
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Basic ability to work independently and guide junior resources
  • AWS certified (Architecture or Developer or Sys Ops)
  • Preferred Site Reliability Engineering knowledge
  • Unix, Scripting, Middleware (Weblogic or Tomcat etc), Oracle and SQL expert level
