Compensation Senior (Temp to Perm)

Location: McLean, VA


Position Overview:
If you are an energetic and proactive HR professional with a passion for spreadsheets and a desire to advance your compensation knowledge, we are your next destination employer!  Join our Compensation team, to develop, implement and administer compensation solutions for your assigned client groups. 
Your work falls into three primary categories

Consultation
•As a compensation subject matter expert (SME), proactively provide guidance to internal business clients when compensation issues or trends emerge. Have a strong foundational understanding of the business area and jobs being performed. Partner with HRBP and Talent Acquisition groups to keep up-to-date on changes in the market that may impact divisions
•Meet with clients on an ad hoc basis to solution for organizational changes, new jobs, hard-to-fill roles, compression issues, promotion recommendations, retention inquiries, and other scenarios
•Ensure market pricing matches are appropriate and suggest edits as better matches become available. Communicate challenges, changes and impacts with clients and leadership 

Annual Compensation Planning
•Lead Annual Compensation Planning as the Project Manager, owning the project plan and managing resources
•Act as liaison with various partners and stakeholders including key business leaders, Workforce Technology, Talent Acquisition, Payroll and the HRBP team
•Create and deliver all communication & training, configure budgets, manage planning questions, provide reporting and analyses to planners and HRBPs, maintain controls with audits, and collect and deliver final results to division leaders and CEO

Customer Service
•Participate in the development of compensation policies, programs, services and tools that improve process and efficiency with a focus on delivering a high level of customer service
•Provide accurate, comprehensive and easy-to-interpret analyses and reports to clients. Ensure documents are client-ready and secure. Be accessible, and manage expectations for resolutions and follow-up
•Work on complex ad-hoc requests and initiatives for clients and internal partners

Qualifications
•College Degree or equivalent experience
•5-7 years of Compensation experience
•Demonstrated expertise in Excel
•Ability to listen, develop a consensus, and make appropriate recommendations and decisions
•Strong problem solving and analytical skills
•Success in managing multiple demanding projects
•Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
•High level of attention to detail
•Innovative thinker with strong communication skills – both verbal and written
•Strong organization and time management skills
•CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or work toward certification is preferred
