Project Manager Professional 

Location: McLean, VA


Responsibilities include:
• Plan, manage and implement IDEA Big Data projects, including monitoring tasks through the project lifecycle
• Engage with stakeholders and users, IT and management to help define project scope, goals and deliverables
• Work with PMO and management to identify resources based on project scope
• Develop project plan, including project schedule and timeline, and track project according to schedule
• Monitor and report on project progress, escalate any risks and issues as needed
• Communicate project progress to stakeholders across Single Family Risk
• Implement and manage change according to established IDEA Change Management process when necessary to meet project outputs
• Manage the implementation of new data consumption capabilities to meet business needs in conjunction with Business Owner, Governance, Operations, and IT teams.
• Manage data mart/data warehouse business projects and Big Data Projects
• Manage cross-functional project teams, including on-boarding resources, assigning tasks/deliverable, and monitoring progress
• Adhere to established Project Governance Framework, and work with PMO to obtain required Control Gate approvals throughout project lifecycle
• Contribute to IDEA multi-year roadmap, including identifying upcoming projects and resource needs
• Manage multiple high priority projects, from inception to execution, including reporting progress
• Act as IDEA team liaison to all other partners across SF Risk, IT and other organizations as needed
• Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
• Provide timely, relevant, robust analysis to support credit-related business decisions
• Manages the coordination of the activities within the group or department
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals

Qualifications
• Degree in Business Management, Information Management, Computer Science or related field with 10+ years related experience
• 4+ years in PM or similar role coordinating and facilitating project execution
• Experience managing projects within established Project Governance Framework
• Experience managing waterfall, agile and hybrid projects
• Solid understanding of data mart/data warehouse life cycle
• Solid understanding of technical tasks and dependencies
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership aptitude and ability to engage others in project scope and risk management activities with Sr. Management
• Working knowledge of database, data warehouse, BI applications, data related challenges
• Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
• Project Management and People Management experience
• Detail oriented and excellent organization skills
• MS Project experience
• Manage project financials


Preferred Skills
• Experience with Data Analytics and Big Data projects
• Mortgage industry experience or financial / credit analysis
