Trust Cash Admin Professional

Seeking a Trust Cash Administration Professional within the Trust Cash Administration Professional within the Trust Cash Administration team. Trust Cash Administration actively monitors all incoming and outgoing cash in the Corporation’s Custodial Trust account, determining by product line funds due to/from security holders or to/from Freddie Mac for loans that are not in securities. Trust Cash maintains reports of all Principal & Interest due to security holders at the pool level by each security type (i.e. 45-day PCs) and facilities cash distributions from the trust account. 

Job Responsibilities:
The Trust Cash Attribution team is primarily responsible for ensuring the trust cash account is in compliance with Single Family and Multifamily MBS master trust agreements. Compliance with the master trust agreement includes ensuring the account is adequately funded throughout the month for all security product types, ending cash balances can be attributed at the pool level, and that any excess Freddie Mac funds are swept from the account. Job duties of this position include: daily monitoring of trust cash activities, maintaining a trust cash subledger by security product type, ensuring sufficient cash is maintained in the account, and coordinating/tracking cash inflows and outflows with multiple organization. In addition: attribution of cash flows by product, transaction type and owner, and reconciling the attribution to actual cash inflows, maintaining balances at ta pool level, and creating a monthly trust balance sheet. Recommended skills and experience: 1-2 years of operational cash administration, mortgage loan or mortgage backed security operations experience, accounting for mortgages or mortgage backed securities. SAS programming skills, understanding of databases and data warehouses, and accounting degree are desired but not required. Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Provides resolutions to an assortment of problems. Works under normal supervision. Follows established directions. Work is reviewed for accuracy of technical analysis and overall adequacy. Primarily intra-organizational with occasional inter-organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters. College Degree or equivalent experience; work towards advanced studies/degree preferred. Typically has 2-4 years related experience. 

Responsibilities include:
•    Cash monitoring of Trust Cash at the product level and ensuring cash activity is reconciled to the Federal Reserve, general ledger and all transaction are properly documented
•    Ensuring the adequate funding of the trust account daily
•    Perform Cash Flow Forecasting for het trust account
•    Prepare cash wires/templates for cash movement out of the trust account throughout the month
•    Coordination with multiple stakeholders for cash movement and monitoring
•    Preparation of monthly attributions of trust cash at the product level
•    Implementation of enhancements to baseline processes
•    Ensure processes are well-controlled, with documentation updated and maintained, to support annual control testing

Qualifications:
•     2-5 years of related experience in finance, cash management, accounting or related mortgage and mortgage backed security professional work experience
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
•    Proficiency in MS Office products – including advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
•    Ability to take initiative, problem solving and work collaboratively across the organization
