IT Support Specialist II

Location: Reston, VA


The client is seeking an IT Support Specialist II to provide support for complex applications by being the primary L2 representative for application errors reported. The IT Support Specialist provides level 2 support for end-users, internal business partners, as well as interfacing systems.  Some tasks may include, but are not limited to:  updating system configuration, maintaining documentation, conducting shakeout testing, executing change requests, and addressing issues submitted via INC and ITSR tickets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate on the 24/7 on-call rotation

  • Monitor the system for errors, bugs, and potential performance enhancements.

  • Analyze and resolve technical problems raised by users

  • Log interactions and escalate as needed.

  • Follow up on escalated issues.

  • Perform emergency setup and configuration for customers.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required.

  • 2-4 years’ experience required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
