Marketing Communications Specialist II

Location: Reston, VA


The client is seeking a Marketing/Communications Specialist II to develop core messaging to ensure organizational consistency and advance stakeholder progression to drive awareness, advocacy and adoption of business objectives. A Marketing/Communications Specialist is responsible for the effective delivery of information and corporate communications to employees and stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the delivery of information and corporate communications to employees and stakeholders. Utilize a wide variety of channels to deliver content (blogs, executive perspectives, video blogs, news articles, talking points etc.) to communicate business goals.

• Established relationships within CoMS and throughout company to help provide clients with most effective solutions to business needs.

• Develop and maintain a proactive and effective corporate internal communications strategy and process.

• Build trust and credibility as a strategic communications partner, providing executives with sound advice and effective internal communications planning.

• Draft and edit written communications.

• Established relationships within CoMS and throughout company to help provide clients with most effective solutions to business needs.

• Measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies.

 

Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

• Basic knowledge of principles and methods of promoting, and selling products or services.

• Basic knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.

 

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training required.

• 2-4 years related experience required.
