Security Engineer

Location: Bethesda, MD

Seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join a team of high performing security engineers. The Security engineer will be responsible to deploy, configure and manage security tools with a focus on cloud (SaaS) solutions. The selected individual will also have an opportunity to work in latest tools deployed in AWS using automation. The ideal candidate will be a Security engineer with strong background in tools deployment configuring AD/IAM, SIEM integration, configuration and reporting pertaining to tools and/or applications.  Have the ability to work with Architects to understand the requirements and working closely with Network Team, IAM, Infrastructure teams etc during deployment. The position provides an opportunity to participate in an energetic and fast paced environment using the latest in technology and tools to build and secure an advanced financial services processing platform. 

Key Job Functions

-          Work closely with security architects to understand goals, determine security requirements, to design, and implement application and data security solutions to meet business objectives, IT strategic initiatives, corporate and regulatory requirements.

-          Coordinate with infrastructure and application development project teams to deliver solutions collaboratively, ensuring that corporate security policy, standards and industry best practices are met.

-          Drive the selection, POC, implementation and operational deployment of new security technology solutions through the delivery pipeline to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of business data

-          Stay current with developing technologies, emerging threat landscape and predict impact of changing technologies.

-          Other duties as assigned.



-          Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required



-          5+ years of related experience


Specialized Knowledge & Skills    

-          Experience deploying and configuring & Nessus vulnerability assessment solution or very similar vulnerability assessment solution

-          Experience configuring rules, policies, tasks, schedules in monitoring/assessment tools/applications

-          Experience with AD integration, RBAC, SIEM integration for Security tools

-          Deep understanding of AWS technologies and experience using services like S3, EC2, ELB, Subnet/AZ, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch etc

-          Self-driven and ability to work with minimal guidance

-          Experience with one or more, of the security technologies listed below will be a plus

-          Multi-factor authentication tools

-          Firewalls, AWS Security groups and networking

-          OS Platform Security
